Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Jahangzeb Khan, announced on Monday that the Balochistan government has launched a Rs6 billion Ramazan relief package under the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan.
The initiative aims to provide essential support to 328,000 deserving families across the province during the holy month.
Addressing a press conference at his office alongside Faisal Panezai and Attaullah, DG Jahangzeb Khan emphasized that strict measures have been implemented to ensure complete transparency in the distribution process. An eight-member District Coordination Committee has been formed to oversee operations, with no compromises on the quality of items included in the package.
To guarantee that aid reaches genuine beneficiaries, a dedicated monitoring cell has been established. This cell will regularly supervise the distribution mechanism and ensure timely delivery to eligible households. The package, designed to cover essential needs for 15 days per family, reflects the provincial administration’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities amid rising costs.
