Lahore-based label’s leather bag spotted in Mexico City, putting Pakistani craftsmanship on global stage
Actor Anne Hathaway brought a touch of Pakistani design to the spotlight with her choice of accessory, a black Tobla leather bag by Lahore-based brand Warp. The piece stood out, adding depth to her look while placing the label on an international platform.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of La Casa Azul, the iconic home of Frida Kahlo in Mexico City, Hathaway stepped out in a Schiaparelli ensemble for The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour. She pairing the ensemble with the structured leather bag that complemented the outfit.
The accessory quickly drew attention, with its distinct design sparking interest across fashion circles, with the moment bringing together fashion, film and culture in a setting rich with visual identity.
Warp has been building its presence beyond local markets. Last year, American Rapper and Singer Doja Cat was photographed with the brand’s archival Hexella Baguette at an album launch event at Mercer Labs in New York City.
Earlier, Actor Lupita Nyong’o was also seen with another archival piece, Hexella Petit Crystal Black, during a press appearance in the city.
Within Pakistan, the brand has found visibility among television audiences, with Actor Ayeza Khan appearing with the Lavender Crystal Petit bag on a Ramzan transmission last year.
For Warp, known for its clean and refined aesthetic, Hathaway’s appearance marks a significant moment, introducing Pakistani craftsmanship to a wider international audience through one of Hollywood’s most anticipated fashion-driven releases.
