MUZAFFARGARH:

The district administration has imposed a ban on leaving open pits and deep spots unattended without proper safety arrangements to prevent potential hazards to public safety.

Layyah Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali issued strict directives requiring landowners and responsible individuals to immediately fill, cover or secure pits, ponds and other places where water accumulates.

The DC stated that stagnant water in open pits and ditches provided breeding grounds for mosquitoes and posed risks of drowning, particularly for children.
