QUETTA:
An unidentified drone crashed into a residential house in the Killi Mulla Khel area of Sara Ghadgai in Quetta on Friday evening, completely destroying two rooms and causing walls of two neighbouring homes to collapse. Two sisters were seriously injured after being trapped under the debris.
According to police, the incident occurred at the home of resident Abdul Razzaq. The drone, approaching from an unknown direction, struck the house, leading to extensive structural damage.
The two injured girls, five-year-old Bibi Halima and 16-year-old Bibi Amina, daughters of the homeowner, were buried under the rubble and sustained severe injuries.
Upon receiving the report, police, security forces with heavy deployment, and rescue teams swiftly reached the site. They cordoned off the area, extricated the girls from the debris, and shifted them to a hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the origin and nature of the drone, as well as the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details are awaited as authorities examine the wreckage and gather evidence.
