Hamza Ali Abbasi, Naimal Khawar Khan say ‘Marriage4Life’ not a dating app

Husband-and-wife duo Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar Khan stressed that their Marriage4Life platform is not a dating app, but a service designed exclusively for people who are serious about finding a life partner.

In a video posted to Instagram, the couple thanked users for the support the app has received since its launch three months ago, revealing that it has surpassed 20,000 members. The actors also said they were actively implementing user feedback while reiterating that the platform was intended to be fundamentally different from conventional dating platforms.

“You guys know we launched three months back and we’ve gotten an overwhelming response, so thank you to each and every one of you. We now have more than 20,000 members, which is amazing. We’ve also received some valuable feedback,” Naimal said.

However, they noted that the app was intended for those serious about finding a match. “Our app is not just another platform where you can have casual chit-chat, like Facebook or Instagram. Our platform is not meant to just pass time; it is a serious platform. It is for people who are looking for very serious life partners and for marriage,” Abbasi said.

The actor added that preventing the platform from becoming a dating app had been Naimal’s biggest concern from the outset.

Abbasi continued, “When we created the platform, the number one thing my wife said was that she did not want it to become a dating app. It is for people who are serious — not for those who want to pass time, browse other people’s profiles, or chat. No, absolutely not.”

Addressing questions about the app’s paid features, Abbasi explained that while some services are available free of charge, premium offerings help support a network of professionals who provide personalised matchmaking assistance. “Another important reason for the payment service is that it costs a lot of money. It is not just an app on algorithms, we have real experts and consultants. There is a real team of experts on the ground who are in offices,” the actor said.

He added that the platform has offices in Oslo, Manchester, Copenhagen, and Lahore, with plans to expand further. “We have real offices with real experts who help at every stage. When you get matches, they can even introduce you to them. They’re doing all that hard work for you. They are real people,” he stated.

The couple concluded by saying users could expect more updates in the coming months, encouraging them to continue sharing feedback to make the platform more accessible to people around the world.

Abbasi and Naimal themselves tied the knot in 2019, welcoming their first child the following year.
