Memes featuring North Korea’s third supreme leader, Kim Jong Un, have gone viral on social media in connection with the Iran–Israel conflict.
Social media platforms are currently filled with memes about the North Korean leader after intense military attacks against Iran by the United States and Israel.
Although the conflict centres on US–Israel military attacks against Iran, which reportedly intensified after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, internet users have humorously portrayed Kim Jong Un as a “spectator” of the global chaos or an observer experiencing “FOMO” (fear of missing out).

Some users pointed out that Kim Jong Un, who is widely known for showcasing missile launches, appears to be absent from the current global tensions.
Many of the viral memes portray him as a curious onlooker watching the escalating tensions in the Middle East from afar while seemingly monitoring the situation.
Some captions depict him as an observer of unfolding global events rather than an active participant.
Other memes jokingly suggest how he might feel about being ignored despite having the “best war toys” and advanced weapons at his disposal.
