Faiz Khan was shot dead outside his home in March, while two other party members also killed
Karachi police have arrested two suspects from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in connection with the killing of a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and a party worker in Dalmia’s Shanti Nagar area.
Officials said the arrests were made during raids in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Peshawar as part of an ongoing investigation into the case.
Police identified the main suspects as Saleem Dad and Saqib Dad, saying their detention had helped resolve the murder case of a Union Council chairman killed in Dalmia Shanti Nagar.
On March 17, PPP leader Faiz Khan was shot dead outside his home, while two other party members, including Ismail, were also killed in the attack.
According to police, the suspects were additionally involved in the murder of a man named Sajid in Karachi’s Gulshan area.
Sindh’s Home Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar had taken notice of the killings and ordered police to ensure the swift arrest of those responsible. Police have said the detained suspects had confessed to several other shooting incidents across the city.
Further investigations are underway.
