A brutal shooting incident triggered by a family marriage dispute has claimed three lives, including a woman, and left another woman seriously injured in the Yaro area of Pishin district, Balochistan.

According to police and local sources, armed assailants stormed a house late on Thursday evening and opened indiscriminate fire. The victims were identified as Muhammad Naseem, his daughter, and his nephew Shahryar, who were killed on the spot. Naseem’s wife sustained critical gunshot wounds and was rushed to District Teaching Hospital Pishin for immediate treatment.

Reports indicate the attack stemmed from ongoing tensions related to a marriage proposal. The gunmen targeted the family specifically before fleeing the scene. Police teams from Yaro police station, led by the Station House Officer, reached the location shortly after the incident. The bodies were shifted to the hospital, where medical staff declared three individuals dead.

Pishin police have launched an immediate investigation and initiated raids to apprehend the suspects. Grieving relatives staged a strong protest late into the night, blocking the national highway in Yaro with the bodies of the deceased. They accused police of negligence, claiming they had prior information about the brewing dispute but failed to take preventive action. Protesters vowed to continue the sit-in and keep the road blocked until the culprits are arrested.
