Lahore’s Basant-brushed skies this week mirrored the mood of Pakistan’s showbiz scene, where love, laughter and celebration unfolded across social media feeds, offering fans a front-row seat to engagements, weddings and star-studded festivities.
Stealing the spotlight was Young Stunners rapper Talha Anjum, whose engagement to London-based digital creator Zoeia Karim sent hearts fluttering nationwide.
Photographs of Anjum in a sleek grey suit and Zoeia in a lavender sari radiated warmth, while videos from their intimate ring ceremony, mehndi and family dances captured moments as rhythmic as his chart-topping tracks. Karachi, meanwhile, witnessed its own wave of romance as actress Laiba Khan shared glimpses from her nikah in Madinah Munawwarah, followed by an emotional rukhsati. Tearful farewells from her mother and sister, paired with Laiba’s glowing smile, struck a tender chord online. Her subsequent mehndi and qawwali celebrations, attended by actors including Feroze Khan, added colour and music to the city’s festive pulse.
Adding sparkle to the season, Mahira Khan lit up the mehndi ceremony of Maryam Raza, granddaughter of former president Pervez Musharraf, with a graceful dance alongside Sheharyar Munawar. Joined by stars such as Zara Noor Abbas, Wahaj Ali, Yumna Zaidi and Fawad Khan, the gathering became a seamless blend of elegance, rhythm and shared joy.
Elsewhere, Hania Aamir reignited playful speculation with a light-hearted remark about her nikah, while her appearance at a qawwali night at Asim Azhar’s home kept fans guessing.
From kite-filled skies to music-soaked halls, Pakistan’s celebrity landscape this week offered a vivid reminder that love — in all its glittering forms — remains the industry’s most enduring headline.
