The cast of Bullah, which was released on Eid ul-Fitr, recently appeared on Tabish Hashmi’s Eid Special Show, where they discussed their experience working together on such a large-scale production.
When the host asked actress Sara Loren if she had any complaints about a co-star, she candidly spoke about the film’s lead, Shaan Shahid. “They usually stay in a strict or intimidating mood. Everyone feels scared around them,” she said.
Loren added that Shahid could make the on-set environment more comfortable for others. However, she also acknowledged his positive side, saying, “They are also very helpful. With me, he was very, very kind.”
Another co-star, Naima Butt, also shared her perspective, emphasising teamwork. “When the team is working, the film belongs to the team,” she said.
Butt further stressed the importance of supporting newcomers in the industry. She noted that whether someone comes from theatre, is a student, or is still learning, they should be welcomed and given the opportunity to grow. She also cautioned against letting insecurity and jealousy hinder others’ success.
Bullah, directed by Shoaib Khan, premiered in cinemas on Eid ul-Fitr. The film has drawn significant attention, breaking records while receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.
The movie features Shaan Shahid as a modern-day hero who takes on corruption, injustice, and a powerful mafia. Set in Punjab, the story follows his journey of resilience. As one of the first Punjabi films to be released in a long time, it has generated considerable excitement among fans.
